Gwinnett County Police Need Help Locating Craigslist Thief

Gwinnett County Police are requesting help, from the public, in locating a motorcycle thief. According to the victim, Gary Bernard Sirmans contacted him in reference to a Craigslist ad he posted to sell a 2009 Kawasaki 650. The suspect, Sirmans (24 y.o. B/M), came to the residence and looked at the bike, then took the bike without paying for it.

The victim in this case stated the suspect was driven to the location in a gold Jeep Cherokee, which left before the theft.

Sirmans is also thought to be the suspect in another case, in which, the victim was contacted in reference to a Craigslist add he posted to sell a 2001 Yamaha R6.  The suspect again was driven to the residence by someone in gold Jeep Cherokee and, once again, the suspect took the bike from the owner without paying.  The suspect matched the description of Gary Bernard Sirmans.

Gwinnett County Detectives issued warrants for Sirmans in these cases.  Sirmans is already wanted by DeKalb County Police for Theft By Taking Motor Vehicle.  Anyone with information on Sirmans should please call Gwinnett Police at 770-513-5000.
