ATLANTA – Gwinnett residents and former customers of Red Oak Sanitation may, soon, be entitled to a refund; which will be paid as part of an agreement reached by the company and the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection (OCP).

Also, according to the agreement, “Red Oak Sanitation was no longer authorized to provide waste collection services to residents of unincorporated Gwinnett County with the implementation of the countywide solid waste program in July 2010”. Around that time, Red Oak customers were entitled to have trash collection and to receive a refund of between $25 and $50; an OCP investigation revealed that the company failed at that effort.

As of March 30, 2011, Red Oak Sanitation entered into a settlement with OCP and the company is setting up a trust account for customers who have not received funds of their deposits.

All former customs should call Red Oak Sanitation at (678) 455-7819 or Click here for more information.
