Investigators say Hornsby, 54, posed as a maintenance worker to gain access to office buildings, where he would steal workers' wallets. He struck businesses in Acworth, Athens, Braselton, Cartersville, Duluth, Henry County and Winder, as well as a Ronald McDonald House in Macon.

He now faces burglary, credit card theft and identity theft charges.
