DULUTH, Ga. -- A man visiting the Gwinnett County Jail was arrested after deputies noticed he smelled of marijuana.

Jordan David Mendez, 19, of Duluth was at the jail on Friday, May 20 to pick up another inmate's property.

He was questioned by deputies about the smell and admitted to smoking marijuana before arriving at the jail. Police subsequently found 14 small baggies of the drug in his car.

Mendez was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and crossing the guard line with drugs.

He is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Jail.
