DULUTH, Ga. -- One person was killed and two more were hurt in a home invasion in Duluth Wednesday morning.

It happened at a house at 2926 Summercrest Lane in Duluth. According to Duluth Police Maj. Don Woodruff, two suspects forced their way into the home.

Police confirmed a man was killed, and a woman and 8-year-old child were shot. The woman was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. A 4-year-old child who was also home at the time was not hurt.

The 911 call came in around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police are now interviewing the 4-year-old girl to try to piece together what happened during the home invasion.

Neighbors said that the area is usually quiet. The home where the shooting occurred is a rental.

Authorities are working several leads to find the gunmen.
