SUV crashes into Gwinnett Taco Bell sign

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- Gwinnett County Police are investigating what caused an SUV to crash into a Taco Bell sign.

It happened Thursday morning at the restaurant on Pleasant Hill Road near Satellite Boulevard.

Witnesses said the vehicle hit the sign, flipped several times and landed against the restaurant's front entrance.

The SUV's driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Gwinnett County Fire Capt. Tommy Rutledge said the SUV hit a decorative pillar at the building's entrance. It caused some cosmetic damage to an exterior wall, but no major structural damage.
