3 Georgians win $1 million in Powerball drawing | News
ATLANTA -- Although nobody from Georgia took home the top prize in Wednesday's $448 million Powerball drawing, several residents of the Peach State woke up richer Thursday morning.
Three tickets worth $1 million were sold in Peachtree City, Stockbridge and Pooler.
A $40,000 ticket was sold in Savannah. Tickets worth $10,000 were sold in Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Duluth, Rising Fawn and West Point.
Since the Powerball jackpot began rolling in late June, five tickets worth $1 million 15 tickets worth $10,000 were sold in Georgia.
